Our Services
Pelvic Health and Core Rehabilitation
At TAG Physical Therapy, we provide expert pelvic health rehabilitation for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, core instability, and related musculoskeletal conditions. Our care is focused on restoring normal function, reducing pain, and improving quality of life for patients of all ages and activity levels.
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles at the base of the pelvis that supports the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs, while also playing a key role in continence, core stability, and sexual function. Like any other muscle group, it can become weak, overactive, or uncoordinated — often leading to symptoms such as pain, pressure, or bladder and bowel dysfunction.
Pelvic floor dysfunction may develop or worsen due to pregnancy and postpartum recovery, surgery, chronic pain conditions, trauma history, or without a clear cause. When left untreated, it can also contribute to secondary issues such as low back, hip, or pelvic girdle pain.
Treatment is individualized based on each patient’s needs and goals and may include therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, relaxation and down-training techniques, biofeedback, manual therapy, and education on bladder, bowel, and lifestyle strategies.
We commonly treat conditions including:
- Urinary and fecal incontinence
- Urinary or bowel urgency and frequency
- Pelvic pain conditions (including dyspareunia, vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, and vaginismus)
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Endometriosis
- Constipation
- Post-surgical rehabilitation (including C-section, hysterectomy, prostatectomy, and other pelvic procedures)
- Diastasis recti and core dysfunction
- Coccyx and tailbone pain
- Testicular or male pelvic pain
We also support individuals navigating pregnancy-related and postpartum recovery, with a focus on safe return to activity, strength, and long-term pelvic health.
