Vertigo, Vestibular & Concussion Rehabilitation

Vertigo, dizziness, and balance disorders are common conditions that can significantly affect daily function, mobility, and confidence with movement. Symptoms may include spinning sensations, lightheadedness, visual disturbance, imbalance, nausea, and difficulty tolerating head or body position changes.

These symptoms may be caused by a variety of vestibular, neurologic, or cervical spine dysfunctions. One common cause is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which results from changes in inner ear mechanics that affect how the brain interprets motion and position. Dizziness may also occur following concussion or head injury, where the vestibular system, visual system, and neck are often all involved.

At TAG Physical Therapy, we provide a comprehensive evaluation to identify the source of symptoms and guide an individualized treatment plan. Treatment may include repositioning maneuvers such as the Epley maneuver for BPPV, vestibular rehabilitation, gaze stabilization training, balance retraining, cervical spine treatment, and graded exercise progression following concussion.

For concussion rehabilitation, we address symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, visual motion sensitivity, balance impairment, and exercise intolerance. Our approach focuses on restoring coordination between the visual, vestibular, and cervical systems while safely progressing patients back to full activity.

The goal is to restore stability, reduce symptoms, and help patients return confidently to daily life, work, and sport.
